After the Storm... taken 2/17/2007
Its not that this is more snow than we generally end up with, its that it fell all at once! The occupation of almost every one I say yesterday was digging out...and guess what, it's snowing again this morning! ! 2007-02-18 22:52:04 GMTComments: 0 |Permanent Link
Instant Winter!
Well, one snowday for me, and two for Patty. Getting to school today (at 11:00am) was OK, that is until I hit the Albany city limits. What a mess. I know that large snowfalls in urban areas are problematic in terms of where to put the stuff, but I think we've got coordination and execution problem as well. The All Wheel Drive and antilock brakes on my care are STILL kicking off *grrrrrrr*, I'll stop by the garage on Friday, I've been there so much, they'll prolly start inviting me for holidays. Various Updates
Matthew got a positive update on his injured friend, Anne-Laure. She has at last been moved out of intensive care, is able to hold extended conversations and is eating better. Thanks for those positve thoughts, keep them coming! Next week, Amy and Patty will be taking the train south for their annual visit to the parents in Florida. What timing, given that we're having our first major winter storm, the snow is piling up as I type. Amy and Patty will be coing to spend the night in Albany with Matthew and departing early Saturday AM. Hope everyone is well!

Zoë and Chloë
When I spoke to Amy on Thursday evening I mentioned the adorable baby ferrets, and she simply said "get them". My thoughts were that this wasn't such a good idea, maybe once I'm out of school. I decided to stop by the petstore and see if I could put them on hold...They way this would work is I'd be able to have the weekend to talk myself out of it. I wasn't expecting, "no, we can't put any animals on hold" *screech......crash* I think it was the other guy casing the ferret cage that made me bold, but I made the biggest impluse descision I've made in a looooong time. "I'll take them both" 2007-02-11 02:20:11 GMTComments: 0 |Permanent Link
